Truck toll in the NetherlandsĀ from 1 July

The truck toll in the Netherlands starts on 1 July 2026. From that date, truck owners will pay per kilometre driven. Before 1 July, every truck must be equipped with an on-board unit (OBU) that can be used in the Netherlands. From that date, checks will be carried out to ensure that your truck has a working onboard unit (OBU).

The cleaner and lighter the vehicle, the lower the rate per kilometre. After the start of truck toll, the Dutch motor vehicle tax for trucks up to 12,000 kilos will be abolished. For trucks of 12,000 kilos and heavier, the Dutch motor vehicle tax will be significantly reduced. The Eurovignette for the Netherlands will end on July 1, 2026.
